005 - video

[Vanille's just resting between her Mamoswines tusks, as she records this video, nice and relaxed as the large creature sleeps.

She's totally safe. c: But she has thoughts. On her mind. And she just can't stop thinking...]

...How about we play a game, everybody! [A game. Right.] Let's say you had the power to bring anybody here. Anybody at all! And you two could stay here forever. Who would you pick, out of anybody from any world?
[A pause.]
Buuut... if you've gotten people you really want to be with you, I guess this isn't that fun. What if they didn't remember you? How would you deal with that?
[That's when the video ends... Vanille has reasons for this. She's just been pondering what might happen if she appears... she's got so many worries.]

I miss my best friend - her name is Fang. We hadn't seen each other for a while, even before I came here. One of my friends got back somebody from our world... and I guess it's making me a little homesick.

( voice )

With the way this world works, it's understandable.. people come and go constantly from what I gather. Some stay for months then leave, others stay for years. It's also true that people from any time and any place can arrive, so.. it's very possible your Fang is trying to find you and she'll come here soon. Waiting is difficult, but I'm sure she misses you as much as you miss her.

Mm. I mean - I've heard she's been here before, from Lightning. [Why couldn't she be here with her. Why did she need to come when it was just Lightning and Hope. She does appreciate them being here, but... if Fang could come here, and they could be from the same point, and they wouldn't need to return home to whatever awaited...
Yes, even after what she had just been though at home, Vanille had returned to running. It was the best choice for her, after all. She didn't need to admit what had happened. And now her... her friends from home didn't need to pester her over it, she could actually continue to pretend it had never happened.
But, Vanille lets out a slight laugh.]
I can't believe Lightning's been here for years, though! It's pretty hard to imagine, but there she is!

Then doesn't that give you all the more reason to be optimistic?

[ tsubasa pauses for a minute, taking her time to think about the likelihood of koyomi suddenly appearing. the chances were slim. at this time, she wouldn't mind if it were even hitagi. so many people had friends and family coming and staying - but tsubasa had nothing. it was something that made her feel a very strong emotion.

If someone has been here before, then the possibility of them returning is very likely. Especially with the way this world functions..
